Distinctions

JCA is unique in we are a local church that is based right on campus.  We meet right on campus for family groups, events, and church services so that we can best minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of students and young working people.  We bring church to you!

Mission-focused
JCA is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations. This task involves two things:

1. Sending church members out on short-term mission trips and as full-time missionaries. In the summer of 2011, JCA sent six missionaries to three different areas of Southeast Asia for one year.

2. Planting churches on other college campuses across the United States.  The church is people, not a building. We want to be a church without walls, a church that goes out to meet people rather than expecting people to come to us.  In the summer of 2011, JCA is also planting a church in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, targeting the working professionals and college students of Duke, UNC, and North Carolina State.

A large portion of our financial support is to be set-aside for these two purposes.

Multi-Ethnic Aim
JCA desires to be a multi-ethnic church with people of different backgrounds. We believe that this best reflects God’s universal church. From the beginning, JCA hopes to raise leaders and staff members of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We are different from other local ethnic churches that have an English ministry branch.

Non-Denominational

JCA is comprised of people from many Christian backgrounds. The church remains independent of any denominational structure but is not anti-denominational and welcomes all followers of Christ into our fellowship.  JCA is a member of Acts Ministries International (AMI™), a community of churches across the country that partner together for missions, church planting, and building up the body of Christ to transform the world.
