Campus
Church
JCA is unique in that we are not a local off-campus
church that wants to have a college ministry
branch. Rather, we are a campus- based church.
We want to meet right on campus for family groups,
events, and church services so that we can best
minister to the spiritual and emotional needs
of students and young working people. By October
2004, we hope to have Sunday services inside
of university classrooms at Georgia Tech. You
can’t beat the proximity!
Mission-focused
JCA is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission
of making disciples of all nations. This task
involves two things:
| 1.
|
Sending
church members out on short-term mission
trips and as full-time missionaries |
| |
|
| 2.
|
Planting
churches on other college campuses across
the United States. |
The
church is people, not a building. We want to
be a church without walls, a church that goes
out to meet people rather than expecting people
to come to us. A large portion of our financial
support is to be set aside for these two purposes.
Multi-Ethnic Aim
JCA desires to be a multi-ethnic church with
people of different backgrounds. We believe
that this best reflects God’s universal
church. From the beginning, JCA hopes to raise
leaders and staff members of different ethnic
and cultural backgrounds. We are different from
other local churches in that we are not an English
ministry branch of a larger 1st generation ethnic
church.
Non-denominational
JCA is comprised of people from many Christian
backgrounds. The church remains independent
of any denominational structure but is not anti-denominational
and welcomes all followers of Christ into fellowship.
JCA is a member of Acts Ministries International
(AMI), a network of churches across the country
that partner together for missions, church planting,
and building up the body of Christ to transform
the world.
